Chandelier Punch Art

I had hopped to be able to share this yesterday, but as I am in the processing of painting cabinets (started on my laundry room yesterday) I ran out of time. Oh well, better late than never.

So without further ado, here is my chandelier punch art card. This is another great design that would work well for Valentine's Day (or any "grand" celebration):

Supplies used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Ink: Colorbox
Greeting: written on my PC; punched with a large oval - SU and mounted on a scallop oval - SU
Edging scissors: large scallop trim - unsure. I think it's an old Provo Craft
Misc: foam squares, rhinestones, silver cotton thread (1/8" circle punch to secure wrapped thread)

 Full punch art instructions below:

One more "light" inspired card to come, so check back soon.

Welcome Baby Card

I hope everyone had wonderful Holidays and a Happy New Year!

It's been a busy few weeks for us. On top of all the holiday celebrations a colleague at work just had a baby end of December (he is the cutest little fellow). We all chipped in and got her a gift card. As I'm the only one in the office that crafts I was elected to make the gift card holder; and who am I to decline the opportunity to play in my craft room..

I decided on a cute little baby bootie made with my SU stocking die:

The bootie is double layers and the cuff opens up to reveal the gift card (We signed the back which I did not emboss)

Supplies used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Die: SU Stocking die
Punches: Scallop Trim border - SU, 1 1/4" circle- PB, 1 3/4" scallop circle - SU, 1/16" circle punch
Embossing folders: Stripes - SU, Bubbles - Cuttlebug, Ornate Swirls - Sizzix
Ink: Crushed Curry - SU
Misc: 5/8" white organza ribbon

I cut all pieces of the stocking twice. The base in white everything else in sunflower yellow. I then embossed on of the white stockings (the front) with the Ornate swirl pattern, the 2 toe and 2 heel parts with the Bubbles and the cuffs with the stripes pattern.
After punching the scallop trim borders (2) in white I attached them to the bottom of each cuff. Then I glued the toe & heel parts to each of the white stockings. I then sewed along the edges leaving the top open on the stocking and bottom of the cuff.
Add the greeting and bow and you're done.

Up next are 5 "light" themed punch art cards. First of which will be a Chinese New Year inspired card.
